Episode Theme: Pivot. Is it Time for a Change

It can be devastating, but necessary at times, to grieve and feel the sadness or loss of who you once were before you became a mom. I personally experienced this grief and, honestly, at times still do.. I choose to honor it and remind myself that that woman is still here, but fuller with more experiences to shape her choices.

These women’s stories share how they honored change and chose to let go of perceptions, expectations, should' haves. They chose to honor what was right for them now with pivots that have ultimately led them to where they are today.

Hope you find some inspiration or comfort in their journeys.

The Courage to Pivot and Reimagining Entrepreneurship with Chantelle Selkridge: When faced with other opinions of what our lives should look like as mothers, as  entrepreneurs, as women, nobody knows how to best navigate our lives better than we do.  Chantelle and I dig into the challenge of following our own paths in the face of pushback.

Getting Over Perfectionism and Honoring Our Postpartum Bodies with Sonia Dong: This episode is for the ex-perfectionists out there as we talk about overcoming perfectionist tendencies through gratitude, reflection, and celebrating the changes that motherhood brings.

Taking Up Space and Allowing Ourselves to Just Be: Sometimes the most productive thing we can do for ourselves and our families is to listen and to rest when our bodies call for it. In this episode, I give a peek behind the scenes into my own inner callings: for us moms who already “do” beyond the comprehension of money and beyond the hours of a typical job, at what point can we just soften into ‘being’?

Pivoting, Mom Guilt, and Finding Your WHY with Nancy Nguyen: Like me, Nancy had her daughter in the midst of the pandemic, and in this episode, we chat about how we combat dreaded mom guilt in all its iterations – in pandemics, at work, while pursuing new, creative passions (that may or not make money) – and how finding our WHY can make all the difference.

Just Start Now: There’s a whole industry that capitalizes on personal growth and change, and in December, there’s so much focus on goal setting with this “new year, new you” idea.  In this episode, I ponder how movement should be honoring you and your life, not driven through “shoulds” or comparisons.

Transparency & My Goals for Season 2: In this final episode of season one, I talk about the elephant in the room - at least for me.  How do you navigate building something that doesn’t make any money?  Want some comfort in knowing you are not alone in this struggle? This episode is for you.

Advocating Motherhood in the Workplace with Andrea Bombino: Instead of viewing motherhood as a professional setback, Andrea sees it as an opportunity to slow down, redefine our skills, and figure out what we really want out of life. We talk in-depth about all the things motherhood can teach us on navigating this transition so we can get clear on what we want and GO GET IT!
